Taking a break from some release/deployment strategy work using mercurial to look at a way to fix a couple of niggly issues when using self signed SSL certificates on localhost when using the IIS manager and I think I may have come across the solution.

The solution involves using a command line tool I remember using back in the IIS 5 or 6 days and this post gives a good example of what the issue is and the answer to it.

Posting it here as a reminder because I want to test this out and get our devs to do the same if it works. This will make some development work and local selenium tests a lot easier to work with and debug!
